Akron Auto Painting was founded by president and CEO Guy Miller in 1989 after managing other shops for more than 10 years. He decided to take his management experience and background in working in automotive repair and open his own business with a goal of creating a quality business with excellent customer service.
“I grew up working on cars at an early age,” says Miller. “My older brothers had cool cars so I got interested in muscle cars back then. I wanted to take my love of repairing cars and interest in excellent customer service and combine them into a satisfying auto collision center.”
Today, Akron Auto Painting repairs between 700-800 vehicles annually, with attention to detail and a strong emphasis on making the repair process as easy as possible on its customers. In fact, Akron Auto Painting consistently ranks in the top 5% for customer satisfaction in the country based on Collision Repairs Industry Insight rankings.
Guy Miller and his team have more than 150 years of combined experience in the auto repair industry and the average employee has worked for the company for eight years. They hold many certifications, have received formal frame school, paint school and software training, and utilize a computerized measuring system to measure the unibody and frame to make sure the vehicle returns to the specifications it needs to be.
“Vehicles come to us in various stages of damage – from minor dents to major collisions. Our team works hard to make sure our customers are happy with their vehicle and that the customer is informed about the process from start to finish,” Miller said. “If the customer is happy, we are happy.”
